Dr. Warns is honored to be a part of the McKee Family Dentistry team. Dr. Warns grew up in Baltimore County, Maryland. She studied Biochemistry at Loyola University in Maryland. She went on to University of New England College of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Warns graduated with honors and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for this achievement, as well as received the Clinical Excellence award. During her time at UNE, she was selected to be a teaching assistant where she modeled clinical hand skills and provided feedback to other dental students to encourage them to be the best dentists they can be. Dr. Warns is an active member of the American Dental Association / Colorado Dental Association.
In eighth grade, Dr. Warns was in a horrific car accident that led her to suffer multiple craniofacial fractures and ultimately lose 7 teeth. At such a young age, she became mindful that the significance of the field is not limited only to oral health, but also plays a crucial role in self-confidence. The emotional investment the accident afforded her has allowed Dr. Warns to truly understand the feelings that her patients may experience during their appointments.
Her goal is to be able to make her patients confident in their smiles, while promoting their oral health in a comfortable environment. Dr. Warns finds that developing a rapport with her patients allows her to develop the best individualized treatment plan for them.
Dr. Warns moved to Colorado after graduation. She loves everything outdoors that Colorado has to offer= and enjoys exploring the state with her long term partner Matt and their 4 year old chocolate lab Moose.
